Munster GAA convention postponed, Sigerson games refixed

Munster GAA’s annual convention is the latest event to fall foul of the poor weather.
The gathering, which was supposed to take place in Tralee’s Ballygarry Estate Hotel on Friday night, has been rearranged to Saturday week at a venue yet to be confirmed.
Kerry’s Tim Murphy is set to take over from Ger Ryan (Tipperary) as the province’s chairman. Brosna man Murphy succeeds Templederry Kenyons’s Ryan who has served his three years at the helm.
The election for the vice-chairman’s position is between former Limerick and Waterford chairmen John Cregan and Seán Michael O’Regan. Cregan concluded his chairmanship of Limerick in 2022, while O’Regan’s term in Waterford ended last month.
Meanwhile, Sigerson Cup first round fixtures postponed earlier this week have been rearranged for tomorrow.
UCC’s clash with UCD but was due to take place, first in The Mardyke, and then Fethard, but has now been organised for St Patrick's Park, Enniscorthy (4pm throw-in).
