Limerick All Star defender Richie English announces his retirement from intercounty hurling after a nine year career with the senior panel.

English has five All-Ireland medals was part of the 2018 team which helped Limerick to end their 45 year wait to bring the Liam MacCarthy Cup back to the Treaty county. He won an All Star that year and followed it up with a nomination in 2019.
