Total inter-county spending for 2024 will creep closer to the €45 million mark as the “arms race”, as described by GAA president Jarlath Burns, shows no indications of abating.

As Burns’ amateur status committee are set to report back with proposals at the end of the year, it is expected that more than three counties will report team expenditure of over €2m.
