New AFLW general manager Emma Moore is targeting further expansion, a move that would have considerable consequences on Irish players.
The 18-team competition is set to get underway on Friday, August 30. It will be an 11-game season plus finals, but it is due to expand to 12 regular-season games by 2025 and could go to 14 games within the next few years.
