Last Monday morning's All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final draw pitted John Cleary's Cork against Ger Brennan's Louth. 

After early group stage wins over Clare and Donegal, Cork had earned themselves an opportunity to book a ticket straight to the quarter-finals in the race for Sam Maguire, but last weekend's loss to Tyrone means they had to settle for an away draw in the last 12.
