Pádraic Joyce: ‘There are a lot of gobshites out there. We let it in the left ear and out the right’

All about Sunday. For Pádraic Joyce and for Galway, this was the target. A third JJ Nestor Cup in a row and a 50th Connacht title after victory over their rivals Mayo in Pearse Stadium.
Their 2024 had been an immensely frustrating one up until this point with the squad decimated by injuries throughout the league. They were back to full health in Salthill. Damien Comer started for the first time this season and starred, Cillian McDaid returned to the 26, Shane Walsh kicked three points from the bench, captain Sean Kelly played the entire game.
