Glen Rovers eased their Cork SHL Division 1 relegation worries with a crucial two-point win over northside rivals Na Piarsaigh on Thursday night in The Glen. Both sides came into the game with only one win from three outings, but Tomas Mulcahy's side doubled their league tally with a 2-21 to 2-19 win in a thriller.

The Glen actually led by 12 points at one stage in the second half but two Shane Forde goals and 0-7 from Kevin Moynihan gave Na Piarsaigh a chance to snatch an unlikely result in the closing stages.
