Clare minor hurling manager Brian O’Connell says the character shown by his side was the most pleasing aspect of their four point win over Tipperary in FBD Semple Stadium on Thursday night.

Three first half goals gave the defending Munster and All-Ireland champions a five point cushion at half-time but five frees in a row from Tipperary sharpshooter Eoghan Doughan had the sides level with fifteen minutes to play.
