Four changes for Kerry, one for Clare as Munster final teams confirmed

Jason Foley returns to the Kerry team for Sunday’s Munster SFC final against Clare as Shane Murphy is set to make his first championship appearance in six years.

The Dr Crokes goalkeeper has been named to start instead of Shane Ryan who began the semi-final over Cork in Killarney last Saturday week.

Foley has been sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in the Division 1 win over Roscommon in March but comes in for the trip to Ennis.

They are two of four changes to the starting team against Cork – Graham O’Sullivan is not included in the squad due to a groin strain, while Sean O’Brien and Adrian Spillane are among the substitutes.

Ten of the team that defeated Clare by 14 points in last year’s provincial decider in TUS Gaelic Grounds are named to start on this occasion – Tom O’Sullivan, Foley, Tadhg Morley, Gavin White, Diarmuid O’Connor, Dara Moynihan, Paudie and David Clifford, Seán O’Shea and Tony Brosnan.

Clare manager Mark Fitzgerald has made on change for the game. Daniel Walsh has recovered from injury and comes into the forward line in place of Mark McInerney. 

Meanwhile, Henry Shefflin has announced three changes from the side that started the draw against Kilkenny for Saturday’s Leinster SHC Round 3 clash with Wexford.

Injured Darren Morrissey, Seán Linnane and David Burke go out of the team and are replaced by Gearóid McInerney, Jack Grealish and Evan Niland.
