An attempt to exempt goalkeepers from the new helmet rule was unsuccessful at a Central Council meeting last Thursday evening.

The Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) tabled an amendment to the rule that a player who removes his helmet must leave the field of play and not be allowed to return until the next break in play.
