Kieran Shannon: Jackie Cool, Clare's charismatic hero

Back when Clare were routinely playing and beating Kilkenny in league finals, the late Jackie O’Gorman was The Man.

As Fr Harry Bohan said when he passed away in January, everyone simply called him Jackie. To know him was not just to love him but to render the O’Gorman superfluous.

And, as his own daughter Joanne would note at the funeral, he was always just cool.
