Galway are to vote in favour of Derry’s U20 and senior inter-county championship eligibility motion ahead of Cork’s proposal at Congress in Newry on Saturday.

Cork are seeking the current rule be altered to allow a U20 footballer or hurler play for the senior at both U20 and senior level so long as both fixtures don’t fall with a 60-hour period. They also are calling for the competition committee in charge of the U20 championship to facilitate such scenarios “where necessary in its scheduling”.
