Parents Niall and Ailish, from Castlehaven in West Cork, have always been steeped in the Castlehaven club. Castlehaven won their first ever Cork Senior Football Championship in 1989, following up with another win in 1993. Niall was one of five brothers on those team, while Ailish had three. Of their seven children, Damien, Conor, and Jack starred on the St Finbarr's senior hurling team as they won the club’s first Premier Senior County title in 22 years in 2022.

Playing their football with Castlehaven, they also played a vital role as the West Cork club became Cork and Munster Senior Club Football champions in 2023. All three have won Munster and All-Ireland medals with Cork, with Jack having the unique achievement of having All-Ireland hurling and football medals at both minor and U20 grades.

Sisters Maebh, Gráinne, Orlaith, and Kate all play camogie for St. Finbarrs GAA. Gráinne plays football with Finbarrs, while Maebh, Orlaith, and Kate all represent the Éire Óg club in Ovens.

Maebh, Gráinne, and Orlaith are current members of the Cork Senior Camogie Panel, with Maebh and Orlaith holding senior All-Ireland medals with the county.
