Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh scored 1-4 off the bench to inspire Kerry to a 2-11 to 2-5 win over a dogged Waterford outfit at Fitzgerald Stadium to maintain their winning start to the Lidl NFL, with Jadyn Lucey getting their opening goal.

“It’s always going to be a battle against Waterford,” said Kerry manager Declan Quill. “We had two battles against them last year in the league and Munster championship and anytime that you play Waterford it’s an absolute dogfight.
