You most likely didn’t notice that another anniversary of that awful day passed last week; as it didn’t end with a zero or a five this time, that’s what tend to happen.

It was 13 years ago last Wednesday that Michaela Harte was found dead in a Mauritius hotel and her husband had to phone her dad with the appalling news. And though his head was obviously reeling, his world collapsing, one thought, he’d say in his outstanding 2021 memoir Devotion, dominated his mind: I have to stay strong.
