Kerry hurling centre-back Fionán Mackessy has said he wouldn’t mind giving inter-county football “a rattle for a year or two”.

Mackessy is a rare dual crown in the Kingdom, having lined out in the half-back line on the MTU Kerry football team that reached last year’s Sigerson Cup semi-final.
