Kilkerrin-Clonberne manager Willie Ward shed tears of pride in the Croke Park press room when he was asked about his daughter Louise lifting the Dolores Tyrell Cup for the third year in a row. “She’s an amazing character and an amazing person.”
Ward missed the dramatic semi-final win over Kilmacud Crokes through illness and even had trouble watching the live stream of the game from home. “I think we nearly threw the television out the window! We were gone mad!"
