Unofficial GAA refs’ union hold first meeting

Fixed term withdrawal of services in foot of an assault of a match official and the provision of mental health supports were discussed at the inaugural meeting of an unofficial referees union in Dublin on Wednesday night.

Named the Gaelic Referees Union, the group are hoping to discuss their concerns with county boards starting with Dublin before the start of club competitions next spring.
