Kilmacud Crokes’ acquisition of Shane Walsh was not a motivating factor for his old club, Kilkerrin-Clonberne, when they clashed with Walsh’s new home in the recent All-Ireland ladies football club semi-final, according to Louise Ward.

Kilmacud Crokes brought Kilkerrin-Clonberne to extra-time at Parnell Park a fortnight ago, with the Galway and Connacht champions emerging two-point winners after 80 minutes to preserve their three-in-a-row All-Ireland senior club bid.
