It is increasingly likely the proposal to remove five counties from the Allianz Hurling League from 2025 will be withdrawn or rejected next week.

On December 2, Central Council are to vote on a plan to cut Cavan, Fermanagh, Leitrim, Longford and Louth from the hurling competition the year after next while retaining them in the Lory Meagher Cup.
