Last Saturday Corofin overcame Ballina 0-16 to 0-12 in the Connacht club semi-final having built up a 0-9 to 0-3 lead at half-time. On RTÉ, their commentary team were surprised that the Mayo champions appeared to win the toss but opted to play against the wind.

“I thought they would (play with it) after winning the toss especially with the wind here,” said All-Star Enda Smith. “They are probably coming in as underdogs you want to take every chance you have. Interesting decision, we will see how they set up.”
