The Kerry GAA executive has drafted a proposal that would allow counties with divisional teams to exceed Croke Park’s 16-team county championship limit by running a separate preliminary competition.
Cork, who currently have a derogation from Croke Park for their Premier Senior county championships to exceed the 16-team limit, intend to support the Kerry proposal whenever it arrives before Central Council.
