All eyes on him. As Na Piarsaigh warmed up before their county final triumph over Patrickswell, the talk of the Gaelic Grounds was whether a tracksuit-wearing Will O’Donoghue would actually start. He did and delivered.

O’Donoghue had not played a competitive game since Limerick’s All-Ireland final win due to injury. He was told he’d be out for 12-16 weeks; Saturday’s final was one day shy of 14. His return came right on cue and his sitting six positioning was crucial as they collected the Daly Cup.
