Tullamore GAA member to be proposed Category VI sanction for referee push
Although the player wasn’t togged out at the time, he is expected to be considered as one under the rule.
The Tullamore GAA member who pushed referee Barry Tiernan in the back following Sunday’s Leinster club SFC preliminary round game is expected to be proposed a Category VII sanction.
The Leinster competitions control committee received Tiernan’s report and a “misconduct at games by players” charge is to be considered, which entails a minimum 96-week suspension for “any assault” of a referee after it was doubled at Annual Congress in February.
