Davy Fitz laments persuading Austin Gleeson to play for Waterford in 2023

Davy Fitzgerald has admitted he was wrong to persuade Austin Gleeson to line out for Waterford this past season when the player’s heart wasn’t it.

Speaking to Ian O’Connell’s “Stand Out” programme on Radio Kerry, the Waterford manager feels he shouldn’t have “forced” the 28-year-old to be part of the group in 2023.
