A final made for statisticians rather than supporters of free-flowing football saw Tullamore edge out Ferbane to win back the Offaly senior football championship this afternoon, as Luke Plunkett’s goal after 13 minutes ultimately proved to be the crucial score in a tense and physical battle in wet conditions at Glenisk O’Connor Park.
