New format for hurling championships as Munster minor and U20 draws take place

The Kerry hurlers will be guaranteed at least two games in both the Munster MHC and Munster U20 HC including a U20 clash at a Limerick venue.

The draws have been made for the minor and U20 Munster GAA Championships, with the Kerry hurlers taking part in both hurling competitions once again.

The Kingdom will also be guaranteed at least two games in both competitions as the MHC and U20 HC see two groups of three.

The U20 football championship will be a straight knock-out however, with the draw keeping the big two apart.

In the MFC, Kerry play Cork in a semi-final with the losers getting a second chance against the winner of a round robin group consisting of the othe four Munster counites.

2022 Munster U20 HC - Group 1: Limerick v Clare, Limerick venue (April 6); Clare v Cork, Clare venue (April 13); Cork v Limerick, Cork venue (April 20). Group 2: Kerry v Tipperary, Kerry venue (April 6); Tipperary v Waterford, Tipperary venue (April 13); Waterford v Kerry, Waterford venue (April 20). Semi-finals: April 27. Final: May 4.

2022 Munster U20 FC - Quarter-finals: Waterford v Limerick, Waterford venue; Clare v Tipperary, Clare venue (both April 11). Semi-finals: Cork v Waterford/Limerick, Waterford/Limerick venue; Kerry v Clare/Tipperary, Clare/Tipperary venue (both April 18). Final: April 25.

2022 Munster Minor HC - Group 1: Waterford v Tipperary (April 5); Tipperary v Clare (April 12); Clare v Waterford (April 19). Group 2: Kerry v Cork (April 5); Cork v Limerick (April 12); Limerick v Kerry (April 19). Quarter-finals: Group 1 runners-up v Group 2 third place; Group 2 runners-up v Group third place (both April 26). Semi-finals: May 3. Finals: May 10.

2022 Munster Minor FC (home team first) - Round 1: Clare v Waterford, Clare venue; Tipperary v Limerick, Tipperary venue (both April 14). Round 2: Waterford v Tipperary, Waterford venue; Limerick v Clare, Limerick venue (both April 21). Round 3: Clare v Tipperary, Clare venue; Waterford v Limerick, Waterford venue (both April 28). Semi-finals: Kerry v Cork (May 12). Winner progresses to final, loser faces round-robin winner (May 19). Final: June 2.
