Shane Dowling: We don’t want to be the ‘muppets’ who lose Na Piarsaigh record

As he confirmed a long-standing shoulder injury shouldn’t prevent him from facing Ballygunner on Sunday, Shane Dowling admits fear has been a major motivating factor for Na Piarsaigh in their all-time unbeaten record in Munster.

The Caherdavin men extended that exemplary run since 2011 to 12 games in their emphatic semi-final win over Clonoulty-Rossmore and Dowling says the players thrive on the difficult conditions at this time of year.
