GAA president John Horan has taken the extraordinary step of calling for a cessation in the serious acts of indiscipline that have marred club games in recent weeks.

In an address carried on the organisation’s official website which will also be published in the GAA’s monthly newsletter to its units, Horan stressed that “an act of violence is an act of violence” regardless of whether it happens on a field of play or the street.
