Cleary wants new mindset as Tipp eye Ryan replacement
Tipperary’s four-time All-Star Michael Cleary doesn’t believe the county’s next senior hurling manager needs to be “an ex-player” or “have a profile” as his former team-mate Michael Ryan and his management team announced they were stepping down yesterday.
As most people were, Cleary was surprised by the decision of Ryan, which he made having “considered what is in the best interest of Tipperary hurling and our current crop of players”.
