Cost of preparing Cork GAA teams soars by €370,000

The cost of preparing Cork’s intercounty teams has gone up from €1.37m in 2016 to €1.74m for 2017 (in 2015 the figure was €1.44m).

Much of the increase in spending can be put down to the Cork senior hurlers having a lengthy run in the championship, reaching the All-Ireland semi-final, with the county minors and U17s also reaching their All-Ireland finals.
