Laois appoint Eamonn Kelly as manager while Offaly close in on Kelly’s successor

Eamonn Kelly has been confirmed as the new Laois hurling manager.

The Tipperary native had served just one year as Offaly manager, and stepped down in August citing personal and business demands.

Kelly succeeds Cheddar Plunkett in guiding the O'Moore county's hurlers.

Meanwhile, Kevin Ryan is set to be confirmed as Kelly's replacement in Offaly.

The Waterford native is a former manager of both Carlow and Antrim.

Ryan's appointment is subject to ratification by the Offaly county board next week.
