One change for Mayo ahead of Dublin clash

By Stephen Barry

Mayo have made one change to their team ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final against Dublin, with Chris Barrett taking over the number six jersey from Tom Cunniffe.

Cunniffe was taken off against Donegal with a hamstring injury and that injury keeps him out for the sell-out semi-final in Croke Park.

Mayo ‘keeper David Clarke picked up an injury in the quarter-final, coming off at half-time due to a hip injury, but has recovered to face Dublin.

The Mayo management team of Noel Connelly and Pat Holmes have also persisted with Barry Moran, who played a defensive role against Donegal target-man Michael Murphy until being replaced with a minor knee injury.

Kevin Keane, who was sent-off against Donegal, was ruled available for selection after a successful appeal against his suspension, but he will remain a bench-option.

Dublin have yet to name their team for the semi-final.

Mayo team to play Dublin:

David Clarke (Ballina Stephenites);

Ger Cafferkey (Ballina Stephenites), Donal Vaughan (Ballinrobe), Keith Higgins (Ballyhaunis, Capt.);

Lee Keegan (Westport), Chris Barrett (Belmullet), Colm Boyle (Davitts);

Seamus O'Shea (Breaffy), Tom Parsons (Charlestown Sarsfields);

Diarmuid O'Connor (Ballintubber), Aidan O'Shea (Breaffy), Kevin McLoughlin (Knockmore);

Barry Moran (Castlebar Mitchels), Cillian O'Connor (Ballintubber), Jason Doherty (Burrishoole).
