Michael Lyster still in serious condition in hospital

Michael Lyster is still in a serious condition after being rushed to the Mater Hospital in Dublin on Friday.

The Sunday Game presenter admitted to intensive care on Friday and doctors decided to move him to the ICU unit of St Vincent's Hospital yesterday.

It is only the second time in 31 years the 60-year-old has missed presenting the show.

He was due to present RTÉ's GAA coverage on Saturday and yesterday, but was replaced by Joanne Cantwell on Saturday and Darragh Maloney last night.

Mr Maloney said on the Sunday Game: "Our friend and colleague Michael Lyster was taken ill on Friday and he wasn't able to be with us today. We want to wish Michael all the best."

In a statement RTÉ confirmed that he is "receiving treatment" and said it would not be making any further comment on the situation.
