Fresh from announcing their team of analysts and presenters for this year’s championship action, Sky Sports have released their first GAA television ad.

Clare half-forward and current Young Hurler and Hurler of the Year Tony Kelly and Footballer of The Year Michael Darragh MacAuley star in the ad on the hallowed turf of Croke Park.

Set to the soundtrack of Little Matador’s ‘Boom Boom’, the ad is a relatively safe first foray into the world of GAA from Sky but, with the slick visual effects you’d expect, it's not a bad start.

The broadcaster yesterday announced that Kildare presenter Rachel Wyse and former Irish rugby international Brian Carney would front their coverage over the summer with Clare legend Jamesie O’Connor and Nicky English providing the hurling insight and Peter Canavan and Paul Earley doing likewise for football games.

Sky’s first live match will be the clash of Kilkenny and Offaly in the All-Ireland Leinster Hurling Championship on June 7 in Nowlan Park.
