Louth name Leaving Cert student in Leinster opener

Seventeen-year-old Leaving Cert student Ryan Burns has been named on the bench for Louth's Leinster Championship opener against Westmeath on Saturday night.

The forward impressed during their under 21 campaign and has been elevated to the senior squad.

There are many familiar names in the starting fifteen including Dessie Finnegan at full back, former All Star Paddy Keenan in midfield and Andy Mc Donnell, Brian White and Shane Lennon in the forwards.

Kildare await the winners in the quarter finals.
