GAA in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Sky on rights deal
The GAA is reported to be in "advanced negotiations" with Sky Sports with a landmark deal expected to be announced next week.
It is understood the association will agree a three-year deal with the satellite broadcaster which will see up to 14 games every season shown behind the Sky paywall.
A number of TDs have already voiced their opposition to the move and have said they will raise it with the Communications Committee.
However, former GAA President Nicky Brennan is downplaying its impact.
