Hurling League quarter-final venues confirmed
By Peter O’ Dwyer
The venues for the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 quarter-finals have been confirmed by the GAA.
The final line-up sees three of the four ties being played at the home of the 1B sides with Cork’s trip to Semple Stadium the sole exception.
Wexford, as expected, will play host to Brian Cody’s Kilkenny at Wexford Park while all the other ties have been decided by coin toss.
Limerick will host Galway at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick while Laois will have home advantage against reigning All-Ireland champions Clare.
All ties will have a 3.30 throw-in on Sunday March 30th.
The venues for the relegation playoffs were also announced today with Dublin facing Waterford in the 1A decider after Tipperary’s last gasp point consigned Anthony Daly’s men to their fate against the Déise who were well beaten by Kilkenny.
Offaly will travel to Antrim in the 1B relegation clash looking for a similar result to the one they enjoyed at the weekend when they put the Saffron County to the sword on a scoreline of 5-27 to 4-9 in O’ Connor Park.
