Ref told Cillian there was time left, Moran claims

Cillian O'Connor's decision to go for a point from a free in deepest injury-time when Mayo needed a goal has been defended by their captain Andy Moran and manager James Horan.

Just less than two of the four additional minutes were left when O'Connor landed his seventh free in yesterday's All-Ireland SFC final against Dublin, closing the gap to 2-12 to 1-13.
