Kildare players to meet over McGeeney sacking

The unrest over Kieran McGeeney's axing as Kildare senior football manager is set to continue with the players due to hold a meeting tonight, just 24 hours after a narrow County Board vote ousted McGeeney from his position.
Kildare squad members Emmet Bolton, Johnny Doyle, captain Eamonn Callaghan and Daniel Flynn have all publicly expressed their disappointment with the decision to end McGeeney's tenure. Doyle said on his Facebook page: "It's a black day for Kildare GAA. I've never felt as empty."
