Four changes for Wexford hurlers

Keith Rossiter and Andrew Shore will return to the Wexford team for Saturday's All-Ireland SHC third phase qualifier against Clare at Semple Stadium (throw-in 5pm).

Rossiter has recovered from injury to be named at centre back with Michael O'Regan the player to make way, while Shore and David Redmond pair up in midfield.

Shore is available again for Liam Dunne's men after suspension and will link up with Redmond, a goal-scoring substitute in the 2-16 to 0-20 win over Carlow in the last round.

Eoin Quigley, who came off the bench to score a point against Carlow, will resume in attack with Lee Chin left out of the starting line-up.

It is an extremely busy week for the 20-year-old Chin who is due to captain Wexford in tonight's Leinster Under-21 Hurling Championship final against Kilkenny.

The young dual player has a decision to make on Saturday as the Wexford senior footballers and hurlers are both in qualifier action in the evening - Dunne's charges face Clare in Thurles and Aidan O'Brien's football side have a trip to Longford to negotiate.

It remains to be seen if Chin will feature for the footballers or he may yet be included on the hurling team's bench - Dunne will not finalise his list of substitutes until after the Under-21 decider.

The hurlers of Wexford and Clare first met in the All-Ireland qualifiers in 2002 when the Banner men won on a 3-15 to 3-7 scoreline in Portlaoise.

The counties also met in the 2005 and 2006 All-Ireland quarter-finals at Croke Park which Clare won easily by 1-20 to 0-12 in 2005 and by 1-27 to 1-15 a year later.

WEXFORD (SHC v Clare): Mark Fanning; Eoin Moore, Tomas Waters, Bobby Kenny; Richie Kehoe, Keith Rossiter, Ciaran Kenny; Andrew Shore, David Redmond; Paul Morris, Eoin Quigley, Garrett Sinnott (capt); Rory Jacob, Jack Guiney, Podge Doran.
