Sligo and Longford claim wins
Sligo and Longford took wins in Division 3B of the Allianz Hurling League this afternoon.
Sligo bagged their second win in as many games following a 1-15 to 1-6 win over Connacht neighbours Leitrim at Markievicz Park.
Sligo led by 1-9 to 0-2 at the interval with Gary Waldron (1-5, 3f) netting their goal.
Leitrim fought back bravely on the restart with Zac Moradi (1-0) claiming the visitors lone goal, while Clement Cunniffe (0-6, 5f, 1 65') also worked hard for Leitrim.
Longford claimed a hard-earned six-point victory over Warwickshire after a 2-18 to 1-15 win at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park this afternoon.
It wasn't easy for the hosts who had to bounce back from a 1-9 to 0-11 interval deficit, with Offaly native Conor Robbins netting the visitors early goal.
Longford showed greater composure on the restart, with goals from Kevin Connelly and Eoin Donnellan helping them to victory.
