Clarke and McNeice in for Tyrone

Conor Clarke and Patrick McNeice have won starting spots in the Tyrone team to take on Mayo in Castlebar on Sunday (throw-in 2pm).

Clarke was an influential substitute last weekend as the Red Hands came from behind to beat Down in their Division 1 opener. The Omagh clubman scored 0-2 and his incisive running was also a feature during the 1-11 to 1-8 victory in Newry.

His reward is a place in the Tyrone midfield alongside Sean Cavanagh with Justin McMahon reverting to his regular full-back role. Conor Gormley switches to the left corner in the rejigged defence.

Mickey Harte's second and final change in personnel sees Coalisland's McNeice earn a call-up at right wing forward. He replaces Kevin Gallagher who was substituted during the second half of the Down game.

Ronan O'Neill, who made a welcome return from a cruciate knee injury against Down, continues on the bench with midfielder Plunkett Kane, returning to fitness from a shoulder injury, also listed among the reserves.

Harte will demand a more consistent performance from his side as he views Mayo, who overcame Kerry in the opening round, as likely semi-finalists.
