Crossmaglen's Cunningham reports alleged racist comments

Crossmaglen's Aaron Cunningham has said he reported alleged racist comments to one of the officials during yesterday's Ulster final against Kilcoo, but added he did not know whether the officials heard what was said.

Cunningham, whose father Joey is black, said he was called racist names during the game in at least two separate instances. He called the alleged incident of racial abuse "sad".

He said it was the first time he had received such abuse at senior level.

The Ulster council is to investigate the alleged incidents while Co Down side Kilcoo have said they will cooperate with authorities.

It is believed the incident will form part of the referee's report.
