Kilkenny's Walsh handed debut for All-Ireland final

Kilkenny manager Brian Cody has made two changes in personnel for tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC final replay against Galway at Croke Park (throw-in 3.30pm).

Under-21 duo Cillian Buckley and Walter Walsh have earned call-ups at wing forward and full-forward respectively, with Aidan Fogarty and Colin Fennelly dropping out of the side.

It will be Walsh's Championship debut with Cody obviously hoping that the young Tullogher-Rosbercon clubman's strapping frame and ball-winning ability can cause problems for the Galway defence.

Richie Hogan is listed as Michael Fennelly's midfield partner on the teamsheet, although he is expected to feature in attack with Buckley switching to the Cats' engine room.

Notably, Ballyhale Shamrocks club-mates TJ Reid and Henry Shefflin are now listed as corner forwards, flanking senior newcomer Walsh.

KILKENNY (SHC v Galway): Davd Herity; Paul Murphy, JJ Delaney, Jackie Tyrrell; Tommy Walsh, Brian Hogan, Kieran Joyce; Michael Fennelly, Richie Hogan; Cillian Buckley, Richie Power, Eoin Larkin (capt); TJ Reid, Walter Walsh, Henry Shefflin.
