Injury blow for Johnston
Seánie Johnston’s much-anticipated debut for Kildare could be delayed due to a shoulder injury.
According to KFM Sport, the forward picked up the problem during training with the Lilywhites this past week.
The former Cavan player was set to be included in the Kildare panel for Sunday week’s trip to face his native county in Kingspan Breffni Park. Johnston is eligible to line out for Kildare having played club championship hurling with Coill Dubh last Saturday.
However, he was not included in the panel for the following day’s Leinster semi-final defeat to Meath.
