Armagh include three debutants

There are three Championship newcomers in the Armagh team to face Tyrone in Sunday's Ulster SFC quarter-final at the Athletic Grounds (throw-in 4pm).

Wing forwards Aidan Forker and Anto Duffy and corner forward Caolan Rafferty will make their debuts at this level.

Paddy O'Rourke is entering his third Championship campaign as Orchard boss and he does so without the services of retired duo Paul Hearty and Steven McDonnell.

Dromintee clubman Philip McEvoy takes over from Hearty in goal, with the spotlight in the McDonnell-less attack now very much on Crossmaglen star Jamie Clarke.

Notably, Clarke and key defender Aaron Kernan are the only players included from Cross' All-Ireland Club SFC winning side.

O'Rourke was hoping to have two-time All-Star Ronan Clarke fully fit for the provincial opener, but the Pearse Og forward suffered a recent setback when twisting his ankle in a club game.

Charlie Vernon has been squeezed out of contention for a starting spot, while Michael Stevenson, John Kingham and James Morgan, who all made their senior bows this season, have to be content with substitute roles.

ARMAGH (SFC v Tyrone): Philip McEvoy; Andy Mallon, Brendan Donaghy, Declan McKenna; Aaron Kernan, Ciaran McKeever, Finnian Moriarty; Kieran Toner, Malachy Mackin; Aidan Forker, Kevin Dyas, Anto Duffy; Jamie Clarke, Brian Mallon, Caolan Rafferty.
