One change to Louth team

Dessie Finnegan's inclusion at full-back is the only change made to the Louth team for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final against Dublin at Croke Park (throw-in 4.30pm).

The St. Patrick's clubman missed last month's first round win over Westmeath as he was away on his honeymoon. He returns to the starting line-up at the expense of Liam Shelvin.

The rest of manager Peter Fitzpatrick's selection is unchanged with half-backs Jamie Carr and Declan Byrne both shaking off niggling injuries to start.

There is no starting place for Danny O'Connor, the young substitute whose injury-time goal was the match-winning score against Westmeath. He is nursing a fractured toe.

The Wee County attack includes two players who play their club football for Dublin side St. Sylvester's - centre forward Mark Brennan and Darren Clarke at top of the left.

Promising an attack-minded approach against the All-Ireland champions, Fitzpatrick told the Argus: "Nobody is giving us a chance except ourselves and from the word go, we will go straight at Dublin.

"Attacking football is the only type of football we play and the minute the ball is thrown in we will go at them, at them, at them because no matter what the conditions the lads have the fitness to play like that for 75 minutes.

"In fairness Dublin could field three or four teams in the Leinster Championship - they've that big a panel - but we have three or four players fighting for every position as well.

"We have a fantastic chance of beating them and we'll leave no stone unturned."

LOUTH (SFC v Dublin): Neil Gallagher; Padraig Rath, Dessie Finnegan, Gerard Hoey; Ray Finnegan, Jamie Carr, Declan Byrne; Paddy Keenan, Ronan Carroll; Derek Crilly, Mark Brennan, Adrian Reid; Derek Maguire Jim McEneaney, Darren Clarke.
