Gaelic football's managerial merry-go-round took another twist this morning with the announcement of Offaly manager Gerry Cooney's resignation.

Gaelic football's managerial merry-go-round took another twist this morning with the announcement of Offaly manager Gerry Cooney's resignation.

A statement issued by Offaly County Board Chairman Pat Teehan confirmed that he had "reluctantly accepted the resignation of Gerry Cooney as Offaly senior football manager".
