Meath recommend termination of McEnaney's tenure
Sean Boylan could be back in charge of Meath as early as next week.
The Meath County Board has recommended that current boss Seamus McEnaney has his term as manager terminated.
In a statement released this morning the Board confirmed reports that McEnaney's time in charge of the Royals was coming to an end.
"It has been decided by Coiste Bainistí to recommend to the next meeting of Coiste na Mí C.L.G. (Wednesday 18th April) that Seamus McEnaney’s term as Meath Senior Football Team Manager be terminated," the statement read.
"Coiste Bainistí is also recommending that Sean Boylan be appointed as Meath Senior Football Team Manager."
McEnaney has been under increasing pressure since the Royals were relegated to Division 3 last Sunday.
The termination of his term will be recommended at a meeting of the county board next Wednesday.
Boylan, who stepped down as Meath's director of football last week, previously managed the county for 23 years, guiding them to four All-Ireland titles.
